Your child will soon be taking our state’s standardized tests. By working together, we can make your child’s test experience both positive and
successful. Here are some ways to help your child succeed:
Make sure your child gets a good night’s rest
Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or in the cafeteria
Make sure your child arrives at school on time (before 8:25 am).
Make sure your child has a working set of headphones at school
NO CELL PHONES & SMART WATCHES – If a student has a cell
phone or a smart watch, it creates a “testing impropriety” that
must be reported and will likely invalidate their test. Please leave
these devices at home.

Next week we will begin our OAKS reading testing. To help be prepared for the assessment, it is important that your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast. If you would like to see what the test looks like and talk to your child about the test, please visit http://www.oaks.k12.or.us/portal/students/.
