Renaissance Art

Our fifth graders studied the Renaissance in their language arts classes in April. To gain appreciation of Michelangelo’s artistic efforts in painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, students composed a piece of themed artwork on the underside of their desks. Needless to say, it was a challenging effort and their arms were a little sore after the experience, which of course reinforced the learning!
